Digital Health Promotion Through Social Media: Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media platforms has transformed the delivery of health information and public health campaigns. This article discusses the opportunities and challenges of using social media as a digital health promotion strategy. The study highlights how online platforms can increase public awareness, encourage healthy behavior, and improve access to health education. However, misinformation, unequal digital literacy, and ethical concerns remain significant challenges. The paper recommends evidence-based communication strategies to enhance the effectiveness of digital health promotion initiatives.
